Alwyne Estates Goes Green
With climate change becoming more important than ever, Alwyne Estates has changed their way of moving around. Back in 2014 we decided to swap our petrol cars for fully electric ones, being the pioneers of “going green”, we were one of the first Estate Agents in Islington to start using electric vehicles. We can now go to properties in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way. With other benefits such as: no congestion charge, reduced noise pollution and last but not least: improving the air quality in the city! Alwyne Estates now have a full fleet of electric cars and many other estate agents in Islington have followed suit.

Because we highly value reducing our carbon footprint, we’re always looking for new ways to do so. As the roads are always clogged with vehicles, it is not only bad for the environment, but also results in a lot of time on the road that could be spend doing other things. That’s why in 2020 we’ve welcomed two electric VanMoof bikes into our office, making it possible to leave the car parked more often and cycle longer distances instead. Both saving us some time by being able to avoid the busy London roads and also getting some exercise in. A win-win!
With lots of properties in and around Islington within walking or cycling distance, we now only use the electric cars when it’s highly necessary, making us more of a green office!
